Imagination will set you free.

Do you ever dread making changes or setting goals? It’s more daunting than we like to admit, even to ourselves. The status quo is familiar, and we like that comfort. But goal-based changes don’t have to be dreadful. By using your imagination, growth is fun and easy. Imagine that!

Were you ever told to stop daydreaming? Staring into space or out the window is not a waste of time. It’s a playdate for your mind, and the link to your secret superpower.

Imagination isn’t the same as scrolling through your phone or watching tv. It’s not about external distractions. The most fun you’ll have with imagination is when you create space and time to drift. In drifting off, you’re simply going within, connecting to the biggest, most enjoyable resource you have. Your ideas, creativity, hopes, humor and motivation come from imagination.

Pretend you’re six, and imagine your life as a grown up. What do you want it to be like? Come back to the age you are now, and imagine your life in 2 years. Are you famous, fit, fab and ridiculously wealthy? Are you compared to Mother Theresa by everyone you know? Maybe the sand is deliciously warm, and the water is cerulean blue as it tickles your sun-kissed toes.

Imagining what you want, and who you want to be, is an act of prayer. You’re listening to your heart, and letting it sing straight to God. It’s a delightfully fun playdate for the mind, and brings you closer to your heart’s desires. Hero, dust off your superpower, and remember just how preciously loved you are.

Dream the hopes of your heart, Soulshine. xo, Amanda
